Pawat LaopaisarntaksinThe Customs Department has defended its actions against Bestlin, a firm contracted to supply 489 NGV buses, as the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) gears up to scrap the contract. The company claimed the officials had no authority to deprive Bestlin of its right to a duty exemption. The department spokesman also revealed a photo of NGV buses which he claimed were delivered to a port in Malaysia and were shipped to Thailand. He stressed that "Form D" is just a tool that helps customs officials decide if a product meets the Rule of Origin criteria.
